Farhan Akhtar comes out in support of Arjun Tendulkar being subjected to nepotism trolls: Don’t murder his enthusiasm before he’s begun – Times of India

Farhan Akhtar took to his Twitter handle to tweet in support of Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar being subjected to nepotism trolls. He was recently selected by a team in the 20-20 cricket tournament.

He wrote, ‘I feel I should say this about #Arjun_Tendulkar. We frequent the same gym & I’ve seen how hard he works on his fitness, seen his focus to be a better cricketer. To throw the word ‘nepotism’ at him is unfair & cruel. Don’t murder his enthusiasm & weigh him down before he’s begun.’

‘Nepotism’ is also a never-ending debate in Bollywood where star kids are accused of bagging films based on their family name or superstar parents instead of their talent. After the untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, the debate had sparked again. People also protested against celebrities like Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt and others who either promoted nepotism or were the products of the same.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Farhan will next be seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Toofan’ where the actor will be seen essaying the role of a boxer. The film will also star Mrunal Thakur in the lead role.
