How A Realistic Hero Rebuilt The Kingdom Episode 3 Spoilers
In Episode 2, Kazuya notes that this alternate world is scientifically backward, using magic and fantastical beasts to nullify its shortcomings. He learns that he now has magical powers, which he uses to bring more efficiency to his work. Liscia walks into his office one day and finds him buried in his work, along with some clerks. Soon he also ties her up and they spend the night trying to find money to tackle the country’s economy. The next morning, Kazuya takes Liscia to a cotton field. Cotton used to be Elfrieden’s largest export product. Growing the commercial crop was so lucrative that people stopped growing food and started growing cotton. And when the cotton price collapsed, it not only caused an economic disaster in the country, but also led to food shortages.
Kazuya reveals that he has an elaborate plan to deal with the food shortage. As Liscia realizes, Kazuya wants her to learn all this, because one day he will be gone and she has to lead the country. Later, Kazuya follows the lead of Cao Cao, the legendary grand chancellor of the Eastern Han dynasty, and calls on anyone who thinks they are better at one thing than everyone else to help him save the kingdom. His message is relayed to all of Elfrieden through a magical device called the Gemstone Broadcast. In episode 3, Kazuya can select 5 people from those who answer his call. Elsewhere, problems could arise if some military leaders plan a coup.
