You probably want to erase 2021 from your life like everyone else, but for actor Mohit Malik, this year was more than special.
Acting couple Mohit & Addite became parents to a baby boy in April and they often share unfiltered glimpses of their parenting journey.
A complete dad, if his social media posts are anything to go by then Mohit is sublimely the right example of teamwork when it comes to raising a child. As much as we love to see another side of the seasoned actor, fans miss him on television.
Recently, there were rumors that the Kulfi Kumar Bajewala star is shying away from television after rejecting Khatron Ke Khiladi. Mohit later clarified why he had to turn down the reality show because it would be taped around Addite’s due date.
Mohit, who was last seen on Star Plus’s ‘Lockdown Ki Lovestory’ stock, claimed why he will never leave television: ‘I have upheld my statement and will stand by it. I will never leave the television. Television is my home. I feel like it gives me the wonderful opportunity to go on set and work every day, and as an actor there is no greater joy than the joy of being on set. What could be better for an actor to go on sets every day and film 12 to 15 hours. Sets have been and will remain my home. The energetic atmosphere that a show set exudes makes me lucky to be a part of this amazing field and profession. I have cherished every moment on the sets of all my shows like set pe hone ka maza hi kuch aur hai”.
Often actors complain about the fact that television actors are working longer than usual. However, Mohit has a different perspective: “Working on a TV show every day is like Riyaz. Roz set pe jao, ache scenes karo, set wali family ke saath time spend karo, and all the extra memories created that enhance the life of a show even more are things I really cherish about every show I’ve been a part of until date. The shows I’ve worked on so far have only helped me grow and improve myself as an artist and actor, which I’m really thankful for. Although there are differing views on the current scenario of Indian television, this is my comfort zone at the moment, this is where my interests lie, this is where I intend to work on my personal and professional growth in all aspects, there is where all the love and appreciation comes from and being a part of this medium gives me the greatest happiness”.
