Today marks the birth anniversary of veteran Bollywood actor and writer Kader Khan who left the earth for his heavenly abode on December 31st in 2018. While fans and his loved ones continue to remember the ace actor for his contributions to the Indian film industry, we stumbled upon an old video of the late legend’s interview where he is seen opening about his film career as he shared an anecdote of losing out on films for not addressing his friend and brother, Amitabh Bachchan as ‘Sir ji.’

In the video, the late Kader Khan narrates that he used to call Amitabh Bachchan ‘Amit’ to which once a producer from South asked him if he met “sir ji” and on enquiring, Khan realised that the producer was referring to Bachchan. He further stated that soon after that everybody else started calling Amitabh “sir ji”. However, Kader couldn’t bring himself to address Bachchan in the same way which he believed paved the way of loosing out of films.

The late actor also claimed that ever since then the equation was never the same as he took several films to work with Amitabh, such as ‘Khuda Gawah’, ‘Ganga Jamunna Saraswati’ and more, but left it later.

However, after the demise of Kader Khan, Amitabh Bachchan had taken to his social media handles to offer his condolences to the actor’s family.

“The one person that my father loved the most was Bachchan Saab (Amitabh Bachchan). I’d ask my father whom he missed the most from the film industry and the answer promptly would be Bachchan Saab. And I know the love was mutual, “ IANS once quoted Khan’s son Sarfaraz.
